The little things in life....

I realize it's been a month since I last blogged and it's because I've been so busy...it's just so hard being popular! That's a lie. So to catch up, here's a quick update of the last month and then I'm vowing to be a better blogger, or bloggerific.

1. I've made incredible progress in my education program. I was working in a 1st grade class at Devon Forest Elementary and finished with them 2 weeks ago and I will be finished in my 5th grade gifted and talented class (smart boogers!) in a week and a half. I also learned that I'm unbelievably talented with scrapbook paper and rubber cement.
This is my ABC book I wrote for one of my classes (I LOVE being an education major!)

The ABC's of the Foods We Eat (And Some Others We've Never Heard Of)

2. My spring break was in March and I headed to New Orleans for a visit with my grandparents and my aunt and uncle. It was great but two awful things happened....I forgot my camera so there are no pictures to share with you and the snowball stands were still closed. If you haven't had a New Orleans snowball, you're missing out and you should run, I MEAN RUN, to the first snowball stand you find in Louisiana and indulge in its terrificness.

3. I got this fabulous new vacuum. I had no idea how much I relied on my Shark (my cordless sweeper vac) until it broke. I'm kind of a neat freak so my vacuum breaking was quite tragic. This is what I got.
It's a Dirt Devil Dynomite and I am SOOOO happy to have clean floors!

4. Northwoods Assembly in North Charleston has a 18-20something's service on Tuesday nights called Genesis. I've been so blessed with the gift and love of music and have had so many opportunities in music and Genesis has become a part of that. I'm part of the worship there and it has been an incredible addition to my life being there. I've made new friends, joined a small group, and I get to sing and praise God on multiple days of the week now! If you can't be there to join us, check out our live stream at http://www.livestream.com/genesischarleston on Tuesday nights at 7:30 (Eastern time!).

5. I have joined this amazing charity called The Mocha Club.

Mocha Club supports causes in Africa for as little as $7 a month (or the price of 2 mocha's!) and supports causes such as education, clean water, orphans, AIDS prevention, and women at-risk. The name of my team is Snippets for Education and you can join my team http://mochaclub.org/joinme/KRWSnippets and we can together collect more money to support these causes. Great incentive..... FREE T-SHIRT! I love free stuff so that's just a perk for joining! I'll be sending out e-mails and Facebooking this too so please join...I know you all buy at least 2 cups of coffee (I actually buy a lot more Diet Coke but...).

6. I got to go to Wilmington to visit my precious niece Kinley, my sister Shea, and my brother in-law Jacob. We had a wonderful time and you can check out all the fun we had here http://themullisfam.blogspot.com/

This is a not so recent picture of my niece, but I just received in an e-mail today from a friend and I just wanted to share her preciousness with everyone!

7. Probably the best thing is that I will be officially done with my senior year of college on May 8
and will be heading off to Dallas for the summer...then returning to Charleston for my 2nd senior year at CSU!
